First, let’s get my understanding of God out of the way. Once you see how I see God, you may not wish to read any further. lol
From my point of view, I see no difference between God and the universe. I believe they/it (whatever) are one and the same.
I do not see “God” as an all-powerful being watching over, us making rules, punishing the bad, rewarding the good like some super Santa. More or less, the term or word God is just a place holder for the things we do not understand that have to do with power we do not understand.
That is the only reasonable explanation for how things are in reality. If you believe that God is watching over your every move and making notes (so to speak) for a coming judgment day, then you are living a lie. I say this because to live this way is to not live freely as you were made. No matter what you say, you are a slave to what you think this Super Santa thinks about what you are doing in every single moment of your life. To live like this is to live a lie. You are not being true to who you were created to be. This in itself is a contradiction to your very belief. Why would a God who will send you to hell for lying want you to live your life lying to yourself and everyone around you?
There is so much to this Universe that we do not understand. For many thousands of years humanity has struggled with all of the things that they do not understand about the Universe that are outside of their normal accepted reality. I don’t have all of the answers and I do not pretend to have all of the answers. I do have some ideas of the general direction that the answers might be in. I may or may not be anywhere close to finding the answers but this one thing I know for sure. If you don’t look for the answers you will never find the answers. You can not find answers to questions you think you already have the answers to if indeed the answers you have are incorrect and you don’t even know it.
What happened to the generation that questioned everything? Where are we going, what does our future hold for this humanity that blindly follows whatever the predominant beliefs are? Wake up people! There is more to all that is than what you have been taught or been led to believe.
Those who believe in God and have or have had a relationship with God on a personal supernatural level such as I have will be denying everything I am saying on the basis that they know God is real because of any number of things without stopping to think that there could be another explanation that they don’t know about. For instance, my good friends in the United Pentecostal world of belief will say that they have experienced the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and will also testify to other miraculous happenings and experiences as their proof that God is real to them and that his Spirit is real because they have felt it and seen what it can do. I will not deny any of this. I have experienced first hand these things and will not hesitate to testify to the experience and testify that it is real, just as real as anything else in this reality that I have experienced.
Right about now you may be a little confused thinking that I am contradicting myself. Not so, and here is why. While I have experienced and I know that these things are real I do not believe that the “Jesus”, God, Holy Ghost of the bible had anything to do with it. Yes I believe this power is real. No, I do not believe it is “God” as in the God of the bible, or any other religion for that matter.
Ok, then what is it? Well, it is the universe. The power that is around us and in us. The power of humanity. The power of belief and faith. The power of the mind and of many minds together. It has been called so many things throughout time and labeled so many things. All because humanity does not understand and can not find it in a measurable quantity by some method of measurement that we have ever had.
I believe that some day there will be a way to measure this force/power that exists outside our natural perception. Until that day comes, humanity will continue to make up names and beliefs that surround this phenomenon.
There are many that will use what I have said in this post as fuel for their sermon to incite a collective excitement to their deluded belief that they have the facts and that they know the truth. When in fact they know deep down somewhere inside that there are answers missing to questions that are fundamental to their belief.
I have knowledge (as do many, many others) that will destroy every single religion that believes in Jesus without breaking a sweat, without even arguing anything at all. I can ask a few questions from the bible that can be answered from the bible by those who I ask that will show the lies in a matter of minutes, but only if they are willing to be truthful with themselves and willing to accept the truth when it is seen. Read my post, “What were they thinking” for my personal journey down this road.
Sorry, I have digressed, back to my subject.
God, for the purposes of this post, will be defined as the creating force and basic, smallest existing particle or whatever there is when you look at the makeup of everything that is. The building blocks of all things that exist in all things without which there is no existence. Sounds strangely close to the definition of the God of many religions, doesn’t it. I have some exceptions or differences to the popular view of God however, specifically the character and purpose of God and the role he plays in our lives.
God (as per my definition) created all things and exists in all things. God is the essence of creation, a law, if you will, much like the law of gravity or the law of magnetism or any other law that is defined by the actions of the universe and all that is in it. No more, no less. God is creating essence and reality essence.
I can hear many now, what about right and wrong, good and evil, heaven and hell, Karma, etc. .
Ok, I believe in Karma or at least a form of something that is closely related to Karma if not Karma. I believe that if you do things that you know are wrong that this universe (not God) will correct itself by returning the wrong to you. You reap what you sow.
This is a result of humanity and a power controlled by humanity on a subconscious level. Humanity’s expectations, beliefs, desires, fears, all the things that make us human, govern this force on a grand collective scale. It is the same power that brings healing to the sick, causes supernatural phenomena and creates hope when there should be no hope. It is a power that is in all of us and recognized in many ways, but I’ll get back to this.
When someone does you wrong or does you right you have the power to return the same, physically and via force power. Most everyone alive has experienced some sort of Karma happening in real time. For instance, I can not tell you how many times someone has cut me off while driving only to be cutoff themselves or have someone pull out right in front of them almost causing an accident and causing them to have to slow or brake a relatively short time after they just did the same to me. Not because they are going fast, because they usually are not. It’s usually the opposite. Someone is going slow and changes lanes to get in front of me at the last possible safe moment causing me to have to slam on my brakes or someone pulls out in front of me causing me to have to slam on my brakes or something similar. I finally get around them or out from behind them and then, while I am still in view of them, I see someone do the same or similar thing to them. I never had to get mad at them or curse and raise my fist to shake at them. Karma took care of it for me, time and time again, and not just with driving. Yes, I believe in Karma or whatever you want to call it, because I have seen it happen more times and in more ways than I can keep count.
That is why it is important to let Karma take care of things sometimes. If you could grasp the power of Karma and how to use it (not that I do), then there would be no need for revenge, ever. If you could control karma, then you could always let Karma take care of it. Good or bad, returned to the sender.
Lying within every human is the capacity to do good or to do evil. Good and evil is defined by society as a whole and not necessarily by religion or religious texts. For one to be defined as evil or good can only be accepted by the populace as a whole. Not because a book says so or because one person says so. That does not make someone good or evil. Likewise, Karma can not function in the confines of religious edicts or text. It is entirely controlled by humanity, whether knowingly or unknowingly, by those concerned.
When someone does something that they perceive as wrong (wrong on either a conscious or subconscious level and dictated by the social norms of their surroundings or their personal beliefs) they set themselves up for the fruits of what they have done to be paid by Karma. They align their souls (minds, energy, life, God) to redeem this Karma as restitution for their deeds. In so doing, those who were done wrong also align their souls to pay out that Karma to those who have wronged them. This restitution can be “awarded” in a physical, mental or spiritual manner. All of this happens, on the most part, without either party knowing that it is happening. Though I believe that if you are self aware, you can detect these things when they happen.
So, in a way, we cause Karma to exist and to dole out it’s rewards, whether they be for good or evil. It is the collective souls (minds, energy, life, God) that create and ultimately implement karma.
Sorry, I have to end this abruptly as I have customers and no more time for now. I will get back to it soon.
